Don't be tempted to leave the product on your hair longer than recommended, as this can cause damage or uneven results. The whole process takes just under 90 minutes once you’ve finished applying the colour remover, so make sure you set aside some time! I actually really like my new hair colour anyway so will live with the greys for now, and my scalp seems to be better and my hair doesn't seem to be falling out as rapidly as it was. Whether your home colour resulted in a tone you didn’t want or you simply want to go back to the shade underneath, this remover is an essential product if you’re someone who often gets a little too dye-happy. If I wasn't going for a lighter colour than my own hair next that wouldn't even be necessary, whatever colour I was picking could go straight on.

Used the Max Strength, did take all the dark purple out, but left with very very dried out orange hair! Available in normal strength, which removes light to medium tones and max strength, which removes darker shades and colour build up. Worked on removing red hairI had bright red hair which I had for about a year, topped up in between permanent colour with a semi to keep vibrancy.

The hairdresser keeps putting me off because of the build up of dark dye, so this just might be the thing to help me get started! It does smell when it goes on, but I used the buffer an extra time as I have thick hair and it doesn't have an after smell at all (I have smelt awful using removers in the past) I had red with a dark dye over the top and it has done a great job of taking me to a slightly brassy tone which I will tone with a toner or some purple shampoo. JoBaz’s hair dye remover contains a formula that reverses this process and shrinks them so that they can be washed out. Another key issue is that if the rinsing is not done properly and rigorously enough, the dye molecules will not be washed out and will expand again, therefore, putting the dye back in the hair.

On her hair was bleach from a previous ombre, over that 2 semi permanent dyes (To darken her ombre hair) and then a permanent hair colour which was 3 shades darker than her hair(All over tint). I know that some of my readers were interested in the condition of my hair after using this treatment, and I’m happy to report that my hair feels amazing! As you can see with the before and after photos the color I have been left with is not wildly different however it has removed some of the deeper red tones that were in my hair.

Easy to use and famed for working when other formulas have not been up to the task, this hair colour remover strips all kinds of shades including tough blues and purples. Worked kinda for half an hourMy natural hair colour is an orange blonde, I have been dying it dark brown/almost black for a while now, stripped it the first time bought out the roots and made the rest a medium dark brown, did it again, the roots went natural about 10cm down and the rest was reddy brown with dark brown highlights, but after half an hour it went a darker colour after doing a bleach wash to try lighten to ends more. I dyed my hair what was labelled on the box I Golden Brown and it came out more of a chocolate brown after three washes.

You've got to make sure to soak your hair in this stuff so that you don't end up with any uneven patches. Worked but not properlyI used this brand on my purple hair and it removed the purple but my hair is now blue/green at the bottom. Hair colour remover works by shrinking the artificial colour molecules in your hair, making them easier to wash out. You'll want to ensure you choose a hair colour remover that's suitable for your hair type and colour. I used a light brown rinse that same day but it was too light and didn't really do anything, so I used a semi permanent colour the next morning which evened out the orange. It striped my hair to the base orange but is extremely strong smelling (rotten egg) even after 5 washes so far so be warmed. It didnt smell good but jo baz got my hair from burgandyred to a light auburn brown and it was so soft and in such good condition afterwards. I'd definitely recommend this, but keep in mind what it's supposed to do, which is remove permanent dye. You may need to repeat this step several times, especially if you're using a strongly scented product. Incorporated into the formula is an intense nourishing treatment, allowing the hair to be re-coloured straight away.

This gentle formula is best for those who only need a little help lifting out artificial hues to find the shade underneath. I just used it on my hair and I’ve got rid of about 10 lot’s of hair dye in one go and I’m left with a very close match to my natural hair colour.By shrinking the artificial dye molecules in the hair, the colour is simply washed away, leaving hair looking vibrant and healthy. I started off with bright red hair (directions poppy red) and it lifted straight back to blonde where it had previously been bleached.
